I ( K. Paul Moses Daniel ) was born and brought up in a pious and strong Hindu family, in a village near Avadi (Tamil Nadu). Even though our family was rich enough, due to certain confusions my father had to commit suicide, which brought us to a state of poverty and rejection. Due to this, we had to move to the city of Chennai, where my mother and sisters ended up being maid servants. Since I was the only son in the family, my mother decided to educate me in an orphanage. In the midst of all struggles of food and clothing, I found myself very lonely, because I could not find a friend with a good character. But later on, I was impressed by one person who was so god fearing and different from all the others in character. Then I realized that he was a Christian and he could be a right friend for me. I began to do what he used to with an understanding that Jesus is one among the other gods that I worshiped. Gradually I could taste the love of Jesus so personally that convinced me that Jesus is not one among all god, but Jesus is the only true living God. I had to face lot of difficulties at home because of this, but I did not let anything to separate me from the love of Jesus.

I had to stop my studies in my 11th standard due to some reasons, but my faith in the lord and fellowship with the believers increased. In order to meet the needs for my home, I have worked in all places and all kinds. I have lost many jobs because I didn’t want to miss any of the Sunday services. As my zeal for the lord kept increasing, I was very clearly led by the lord to work full-time for his kingdom. I started the ministry in a very small note in a remote village (Anur, near chengalpet) while God helped me to pioneer a few churches on the surrounding villages also. A situation arouse, where God led me to Chennai to pastor a church. Due to certain confusions I decided to go back to the village, but God insisted me to continue to serve him in Chennai. This gave birth to a new church in the year 1993. “Shekinah Assembly”, which is now one of the well known growing churches in Chennai. God has taken me from a lowly state, just as his word says, “He raises the poor from the dust, and lifts the needy from the ash leap and seats him with kings and princes”. This became true in my life!

If God can do this to me, He can very well do it to you! Praise God! God be with you.
